Learning Signals Dashboard.
Learning Signals Dashboard turns already-agreed learning records — from an existing Studio product or a defined fresh data source — into a reporting, insight, classroom, or research view that a small learning team can act on.
Evidence that informs the next learning decision.
A governed dashboard family for teams that start with a learning decision.
Learning Signals Dashboard is Studio's governed dashboard family. It turns agreed learning records — completion, assessment, achievement, approved reflection or chatbot signals where separately in scope — into a reporting, insight, classroom, or research view. The starting question is a learning decision your team needs to make. The chart is the output, not the input.
Learning Signals Dashboard supports reporting, insight, classroom-signals review, and — where separately governed — research transcript workspaces. It does not diagnose learners, replace teaching judgement, or make automated high-stakes decisions.
For example: a Singapore secondary-mathematics workbook programme uses a Dashboard Insight Layer to show topic-by-topic mastery patterns for learners and parents.
Two ways to start.
Add a dashboard capability to a Studio product you already have — or begin a fresh dashboard project scoped for your team.

Every view has a defined audience.
The "does not show" column is as important as the "shows" column. Each view is scoped so the audience sees only what they need for the decision in front of them.
| View | Shows | Does not show by default |
|---|---|---|
| Progress view | Completion, milestones, achievement, assessment, agreed progress signals. | Raw chatbot, voice, or reflection text. |
| Classroom view | Authorised teacher sees adult-learner nickname and library-linked log. | Email addresses, open staff search, public sharing, automated profiling. |
| Insight view | Approved aggregate patterns and human-reviewed AI tags. | Unreviewed AI conclusions or high-stakes learner decisions. |
| Research view | Protocol-defined pseudonymous transcripts, codebook tags, and approved batch query. | Research approval, legal determination, unrestricted transcript search, model training on client data. |
Choose the route that matches your infrastructure.
Each route has its own boundary. Local for a fixed snapshot; client-managed for a team that runs its own servers; LLI-hosted where you want us to hold the maintenance contact.
Local HTML
- Best for
- Fixed approved export, workshop demonstration, or internal presentation.
- Boundary
- No live personal-data lookup; customer controls the device, files, and access; no annual hosting.
Client-managed server
- Best for
- A client with a technical team and own hosting controls.
- Boundary
- LLI supplies the agreed design/build and handover; client owns deployment, security operations, and support.
LLI-hosted
- Best for
- An agreed Studio product needing managed access and agreed maintenance contact.
- Boundary
- Annual maintenance applies; no 24/7 service or enterprise compliance certification unless separately contracted.
What we receive, what stays with you.
What LLI receives for standard reporting
Outside the controlled classroom route, LLI receives only the agreed learner ID and agreed progress signals — no email address, no full transcripts. Full transcripts are reserved for approved research workflows with named roles and client-confirmed governance readiness.
Who does what, within scope
| LLI can handle within scope | Client remains responsible for | Not included |
|---|---|---|
| Learning-data field mapping; dashboard information design; approved data import; agreed metrics; controlled AI tagging configuration; local, client-managed, or hosted implementation as contracted. | Lawful collection basis; learner / participant notices; access authorisation; DPO and legal decisions; institutional review decision; research protocol; data accuracy; approval of taxonomy and findings. | 24/7 SOC operations; SOC 2 certification held by LLI; LMS integration; legal or IRB approval; predictive learner nudges; forgetting-curve interventions; regression / hypothesis testing; dashboard audio assistant. |
Research readiness is not ethics approval.
Your institution decides whether a study requires an ethics or IRB review, an exemption, or another documented pathway. Your institution appoints the responsible research lead. LLI provides the readiness templates and the workspace; the decision, review, and approval remain with your institution.
Where the data lives, how learners appear, which AI runs.
Where the data lives
Learning Signals Dashboard configurations, agreed learning records, and — where hosted — dashboard content are stored on AWS infrastructure in Singapore. The infrastructure is certified to Singapore's Multi-Tier Cloud Security Standard (MTCS SS 584 Level 3), the international information-security management standard (ISO/IEC 27001), and the SOC 2 Type II framework for security, availability, and confidentiality.
How learners appear on the dashboard
For standard reporting, learners are represented by an internal user ID and the agreed progress signals — no email address is displayed on the dashboard. In the Controlled Classroom Signals View, an authorised teacher sees a learner nickname (not a full name) and library-linked log. Full transcripts appear only in a Research Signals Workspace, and only for authorised roles under a confirmed governance readiness record.
Which AI models run
Where the dashboard applies AI insight or tagging, most requests run on Alibaba Cloud models hosted in Singapore. Conversational AI agents, where separately in scope, run on Anthropic. Learner input is processed under commercial API agreements that exclude model training by default. AI requests are routed through a self-hosted n8n workflow on the Singapore server.
n8n is an open-source workflow tool; "self-hosted" means it runs on our own server rather than on a third-party service.
Cross-border transfers to conversational-AI or infrastructure providers outside Singapore are handled in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act (Singapore), Section 26.

Who buys, who accesses
Direct dashboard purchases through the Studio platform are for organisational buyers whose named users are aged 18 and above. Where a dashboard scope includes under-18 learners, the client organisation is a verified educational-business client and retains its own safeguarding, consent, and duty-of-care obligations for those learners.
This is product-design guidance, not legal advice on your organisation's data-protection obligations.
What we design. What we don't promise.
| We design | We do not promise |
|---|---|
| Learning-data field mapping, dashboard information design, approved metric definitions, role-appropriate views, AI tagging configuration where in scope, testing, and handover. | A 24/7 dashboard operations desk or enterprise service-level agreement. |
| Local HTML, client-managed server, or LLI-hosted delivery routes, scoped and priced separately. | LMS integration services, enterprise SSO integration, or uncontrolled third-party API integrations. |
| Approved AI tagging and insight layers within an agreed research or reporting scope. Live AI use is funded through a separate LLI credit purchase. | Unlimited live AI use bundled into the dashboard price, hosting price, or annual-care price; predictive learner interventions; forgetting-curve nudges; regression or hypothesis testing; dashboard audio assistant. |
| Research readiness templates, taxonomy design, authorised research roles, and transcript-workflow protections where a Research Signals Workspace is in scope. | Institutional ethics or IRB approval, legal determination, DPO advice, or any decision that belongs to your institution. |
Live AI use is credit-based. See LLI FAQ Q9 for the credit-purchase process.
